No, the demo content will not replace your existing pages and content. It will be added alongside your current content, so nothing will be lost. However, if there is a page in the demo with the same slug as one of your existing pages, just Theme Options and Widgets will be imported.

For example: If your existing ‘About Us’ page has the slug ‘about-us,’ and the new demo also has an ‘About Us’ page with the same slug, only the Theme Options and Widgets will be imported.

• If the previous content is from a demo of the same theme, and you have already imported one of the theme’s demos, importing another demo from the same theme may cause display conflicts. In this case, you should uninstall the previous demo from Dashboard > Xtra > Uninstall before importing the new one. However, if the content is not related to the theme demo, there will be no need for a cleanup.

In some cases, after importing the demo, you may encounter a 404 error and the homepage of the imported demo might not display. This issue can be easily resolved. Check the following path to ensure the static homepage is set up correctly.

Go to Theme Options > Homepage Settings > Choose “Astatic page” > Select Home Page.

Go to:Dashboard > Settings > Permalink Settings > Set Permalink structure to “Post name”
Then clear your browser cache and check it, if this doesn’t solve the problem, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us through the support tickets.

If after importing a demo in our WordPress theme you change your mind and want to import a different demo, you must completely clean the previous demo before importing the new one. This cleaning process can be done through the theme panel, and the path is shown in the screenshot below. Please note that all site content will be deleted during this process Dashboard > XTRA > Uninstall

If you want to reset all your WordPress data including posts, pages, settings, menus, and etc. You can also use a reset plugin, such as WP Reset, for this purpose.

1. Make sure your theme and codevz plus plugin are latest version
2. Make sure you have activated your theme with a valid license code
3. Clear your browser cache
4. Try again to import a demo
5. If still have the problem, Submit a support ticket

4. If you have not activated theme, click on Unlock button else click on Import button

After finding your demo in demos list and click on import button, You will see a demo wizard like the following shot, then click on the next step button.

In the next wizard step you need to choose page builder.

3. Click on the next step button

In this step you can set which features you want to import on your website.

 

1. Choose Full import or Custom import
2. In custom import you can choose some features to import
3. Click on the next step button

Demo importer may take up to 10 minutes to import the demo, it depends on your server speed. If you faced any problem during importing demo content, you can do it again up to 3 times, But if still have problem with importing demo, you can contact with out support center.

First make sure your theme and codevz plus plugin both are up to date, If your demo importer fails or only some parts not imported successfully, then you can try again demo importer wizard. For example if you noticed that slider not imported on your website, then you can try demo importer wizard again but this time in the configuration step only select Slider revolution from custom import checkboxes and then run importer.

Depending on demo page builder type and via visiting each demo pages you can find cog icon in right side of your screen, hover over it and click on last icon you can get that page ShortCode (for WPBakery demos) or page template (for Elementor demos) and use it on your website.

Another solution is built-in page importer feature, Please go to your website admin Dashboard > XTRA menu > Page Importer and paste demo page you want to import and click on import button.

For importing the Elementor version of each demo you should first activate your theme with a valid purchase code.

After activation you can import demo website from Dashboard > Xtra > Demo import

After selecting the demo you can click on “Next Step”

In the next step, you can select the page builder that you want to work with it for website building.

In the next step, you can select “Full import” or partial custom import, We recommended using full import to have the same website as our demo website.

Click on Next Step and wait for importing procedure, it will take up to 10 minutes in slow servers.

After importing is done, you will have a website like our demo with Elementor page builder.
