Comments in WordPress are a powerful tool for engaging users with your site’s content. Site administrators can choose to moderate comments before they are published or allow them to be posted automatically. The settings for comments in WordPress are highly customizable, enabling you to tailor them to your site’s specific needs. Overall, comments help enhance user interaction, increase time spent on the site, and create a sense of connection and community.

However, some site administrators prefer to disable all comments on their WordPress site. This can be done in the Xtra Theme by following the path below:

Theme Options > General > Advanced Settings > Disable comments.

For disabling comments form on individual single post, First edit your post in backend and like bellow shot, enable Discussion panel and then uncheck Allow Comment checkbox and update post.

• Disable comments on all posts – If you want to disable comments form on all single posts, then go to Dashboard > Settings > Discussion and disable comments and change comments settings.
